In addition to teaching at the University, Dr. Gaind has been Education Chair for the Ontario Psychiatric Association and Course Director for two international continuing medical education organizations.  He has brought an academic focus and rigour to policy development, association governance and administrative roles.  He enjoys working with diverse colleagues to pool skill sets and creativity, and contributes innovative solutions when faced with challenging problems.

Scholarship is not just about listening in classrooms or studying established wisdom, but about how we fit different things together; disparate pieces in creative and new ways to effect change and have a positive impact upon the world.
— Dr. Gaind address to TFS Alumni
